Ingredients

  • The Salmon
  • 1 filet of wild caught sockeye salmon or individually frozen portions

  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil

  • 1 -2 Tablespoons garlic, pureed or finely chopped (fresh)

  • 1 -2 Tablespoons ginger, pureed, freshly grated or frozen

  • Sprinkle of sesame seeds (black, white or mixed)

  • Pink Himalayan salt and pepper to taste

  • Cilantro and/or parsley to garnish

  • Lemon wedges or slices

  • The Sauce (optional)
  • 1/4 cup horse radish

  • 1/4 cup Dijon mustard

Directions

  • Preheat oven to 450 degrees or light the grill
  • Thaw salmon and rub with olive oil, garlic and ginger
  • Sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds, salt and pepper
  • Grill or oven roast on parchment paper on a cookie sheet for approximately 10 – 12 minutes until done to your liking
  • Sauce (optional) – combine horse radish and Dijon mustard in a bowl and stir
  • Remove the salmon from the oven, remove the skin and top with lemon wedges
  • Serve with sauce, if desired

Notes

  • Serve with the vegetable medley recipe.
