Sesame Crusted Salmon

- The Salmon
1 filet of wild caught sockeye salmon or individually frozen portions
2 Tablespoons olive oil
1 -2 Tablespoons garlic, pureed or finely chopped (fresh)
1 -2 Tablespoons ginger, pureed, freshly grated or frozen
Sprinkle of sesame seeds (black, white or mixed)
Pink Himalayan salt and pepper to taste
Cilantro and/or parsley to garnish
Lemon wedges or slices
- The Sauce (optional)
1/4 cup horse radish
1/4 cup Dijon mustard
Directions
- Preheat oven to 450 degrees or light the grill
- Thaw salmon and rub with olive oil, garlic and ginger
- Sprinkle salmon with sesame seeds, salt and pepper
- Grill or oven roast on parchment paper on a cookie sheet for approximately 10 – 12 minutes until done to your liking
- Sauce (optional) – combine horse radish and Dijon mustard in a bowl and stir
- Remove the salmon from the oven, remove the skin and top with lemon wedges
- Serve with sauce, if desired
