Episode 4 – Breakfast Cereal

  1. 3 cups rolled oats
  2. 3 cups steel cut oats
  3. (Omit oats for a grainless option)
  4. 1 and 1/2 cups whole raw almonds
  5. 3 cups unsweetened shredded coconut
  6. 1 cup pumpkin seeds
  7. 1 cup sunflower seeds
  8. 1/2 cup chia seeds
  9. 1/2 cup hemp seeds
  10. 1 cup sesame seeds
  11. 1 cup flax seeds
  12. 1 teaspoon Himalayan salt
  13. 1/2 cup virgin coconut oil
  14. 1/2 cup raw honey (real honey crystalizes)
  15. 1/2 cup Dried fruit (optional)
  16. 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. In a large bowl combine oats, almonds, coconut, seeds, and salt.
  3. In a small sauce pan on low, liquefy the coconut oil and honey.
  4. Pour coconut oil/ honey mixture over oat mixture and stir until combined well.
  5. Scoop onto cookie sheets lined with parchment paper. Do not overfill them.
  6. Bake for 15 min. You may want to toss half way through to prevent the edges from overcooking.
  7. Remove and allow to cool.
  8. Add dried fruit (optional) and store in airtight containers.
  1. This is a large recipe. You can reserve a cup or 2 and turn them into power balls by
  2. using honey and nut butter to bind the mixture together. Adding mini chocolate chips
  3. make this a sweet treat. Form into balls and refrigerate.
  4. Serve for breakfast as a substitute for breakfast cereal, layer with fresh berries and
  5. yogurt making it the perfect parfait, or top a french toast casserole for the added
  6. crunch.

  1. 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  2. 2 & 1/2 cups water
  3. 2 & 1/2 whole milk
  4. 1/2 cup cream
  5. 1 cup steel cut oats
  6. 1 cup rolled oats
  7. 2 teaspoons of vanilla
  8. 1/3 cup maple syrup
  9. 1 & 1/2 teaspoons cinnamon
  10. 2 small apples of your choice; diced or grated
Top with
  1. 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  2. drizzle of maple syrup
  3. and a dash of cinnamon
  1. Grease the crockpot with coconut oil.
  2. Combine, water, milk, cream, oats, vanilla, maple syrup, cinnamon and apples into crockpot.
  3. Turn onto low for 6 hours.
  4. You can also put the crockpot on high and it will be ready in 2 hours.
  1. Serve some eggs and fresh coffee. Feel free to get creative with this one and add
  2. another warming spice or some fresh fruits for the topping.
